Dear All,

We are designing a shell & Tube HP-Gas-Gas Exchanger and we are getting the following error message from HTRI

"  An excessive latent heat >2556 KJ/Kg (1100 BTU/lb) has been calculated for hot fluid at isobar no.3 around increment no. 23. using specific heats, the program calculates the incremental sensible vapour duty and the sensible liquid duty, and subtracts them from the total incremental duty. The latent heat has been limited to 2556 KJ/Kg. Check the specified heat curve, liquid and vapour specific heat , and enthalpy values; rerun the case."

Kindly note that we have import the H.E process data directly from the simulation file. Hence we understand that specified heat curve details are correct and no need to check.

Kindly provide your feedback / comments on above error message.

Regards,

Harshal Shah
