In an upstream oil sector, occasional vibration of fixed roof (cone roof)  aboveground storage tank is observed, which is used as an intermediary storage for  unstabilised crude. Tank vapour is recovered for condensate recovery; hence a gas dome is installed at the top of tank roof, which is connected to suction piping of centrifugal compressor. Tank vapour space pressure is approx 3" WC. Understand this type of arrangement is common in upstream industry? Can anyone share about any experience on roof vibration or cite any reference/ literature? Regards
