I am doing the project wherein the one -way fire water hydrant is being converted to 2-way fire water hydrant. so i want to know the capacity of the 2- way fire water hydrant so that i can check the exisiting fire water pump capacity which can withstand the increased flow rate or not. Hence, Please answer me what is the capacity of the 2-way fire water hydrant.

Consider, capacity of single 1 1/2" valve mounted on fire hydrant as ~150 gpm and 2 1/2" valve as ~250 gpm.

Check size of hydrant valve installed at your place and verify the pump capacity for atleast 500 gpm (two valve operation)
