Foaming in Amine process reduces H2S removal.

But

Why the increase in removal of CO2. Reduced CO2 slip?

I just read it in an article, was wondering how?

Always cite your specific reference.   The Forum members don't know who wrote the article and under what scope as well as for what purpose.  If we can't read the article also, it gives us little or nothing to comment on except your own interpretation of the substance.

Foaming is a phenomena that is battered about frequently by amine plant operators all over the world with little or no evidence of proving that the results they witness are really the cause of foaming.  In 54 years I have never met or read of any operator actually seeing, smelling, or tasting amine foam.  All the operators I've met with have speculated or guessed that foaming was involved - but it was never proven.  If you are interested in following up on this interesting topic, you should cite specific cases, events, results, and evidence.  That will enable our members to discuss and comment.

Hmm very intresting .. in my understandi g you have sto sterically hinder amine for carbamine formation for CO2 absorption promotion...

and there aare some other factors too ... foaming leading to same thing is  a bit new thing for me also
