Hi,
I am trying to calculate the CAPEX for a CO2 capture process. The intial fill of the solvent is typically counted as part of CAPEX. I have the column diameter, packing height and the packing material from a simulation software.
Can someone explain or point me to material on how to calculate the intial volume of solvent needed for the column.
My initial assumption is to use the "packing height * column diameter * void fraction * flooding fraction" to get the total solvent at steady state operation and use this as the inital fill. Does this sound reasonable ?
Thanks
