Dear All,

Regarding the sizing or calculation of fire water system requirement i have a following queries ?

Q1. For tanks of base oil and additive storage having min flash point 206-182 degree Celcuis do we need to consider tank on fire case and subsequent cooling for similar adjacent tank ? Please refer  to codes and standard for better understanding of safety concerns arose with this type of liquids

Q2. For the pressure calculation what pressure must be maintained at the farthest hydrant from pump ?

Q3. Will there be a foam requirement for the same storage tanks ?

Looking forward for your kind replies :) :)

Regards

Ahsan

Hi Ashan ,

Better to ask your fire brigade about the requirement , each country has its own .

Hope this helps

Take a look at this link and try to get copy of NFPA guides. Google could be an option to find info.

Hope this helps
