Dear All,

 

I wish to design a shell and tube heat exchanger with space limitations. The nozzles of the exchanger shell side shall be 45 degrees instead of vertical or horizontal.

 

please let me know the design considerations when enetring the shell side flow through the aformentioned nozzle. what would be the location of impingement plate if any required? Is it possible to apply nozzle dome or ...
