If I have compressor , the material inside made of stainless steel while the material outside made of carbon steel .. Is there a method for estimate the cost ?

The compressor have five stages , the power of each stage around 3800 kW

I use the following equation for estimating cost :

Total purchase cost = drive factor x material factor x compressor price .

Drive factor = 1 for electric motor drive , 1.15 for steam turbine and 1.25 for gas turbine
Material factor : 1 for carbon steel , 2.5 stainless steel and 5 for nickel .

The problem is in the material , what should I consider for material factor in my case ??

Better get a quotaton from vendor.  Just write a mail to any manufacturer and ask for price.

The method you are using will mislead you.
