Is there any quality differeces between LBO from process and in tank for 14 days?

In our refinery, one of LBO's pour point is changed from -15'C to -13~14'C in two weeks.

LBO was just stored in tank for two weeks. That's all.

Until now, we couldn't find any differences in process and feedstock quality.

this LBO's typical property is 500N(vis@40'C : 96cSt, VI : 97).

Mechanical history and chemical history of the oil play a role on pour point.  The test has to be conducted under specified conditions. In Pour Point test, the oil is observed at each 3 deg C  (or 5 deg F)intervals.  The pour point should be reported in multiples of 3 deg C and another 3 deg C is added to the temperature at which the material ceases to flow as per the test. The repeatability of the test is 6 deg C (Please refer to ASTM D 97  Section 10.1.1.1).

So, a difference of 1 or 2 deg C hardly matters.

Mr Rao added a useful piece of information.

 

I agree with him as there is very little chances of loosing front end of hydrocabon(500 Neutral is heavy HC stuff) at operating temperature,you may check IBP of HC and how it compares with Operating temperature or rather any upset in storage conditions.
