Dear Friends,

I wish to design atmospheric tanks. One of the items that should be selected during design is course number.

I do not know how course number should be selected.

If anybody can help me, I would be grateful.

Thanks,

Freeman

Freeman,

Course number of an atmospheric tank is to be determined via dividing the tank's overall height by the height of each course. But the height of each course itself (plate width) is specified and controlled by material availability, field handling limitations, fabrication facilities capacity and shipping limitations.

Fallah!

Thank you for your reply. As far as I know, the course no. should be selected firstly. secondly, the prefered course width was also selected and the height of the tank is the product of multiplication of course wide into course no. So it seems, the course no. may be selected. If you can, please provide some references.

Thanks
