Hello All

We are currently carrying out per-commissioning activities in an upcoming refinery. While pressurizing circuits through air, few people have suggested to include the pumps also for pressurization while few others have advised to exclude pumps. My queries are:

1. Should we include pumps while carrying out leak test by air?

2. If yes, then can we pressurize the pumps up to the design discharge pressure of the pumps?

3. What are the precautions should we take to protect the seal systems in case we pressurize with air?

thanks
