Hello everybody,

I am currently studying chemical engineering and have to design a vacuum distillation column. The process is actually quite simple: a solution of water with hydrogen peroxide enters the vacuum distillation column to produce a 50:50% water and hydrogen peroxide solution. The aim is to remove water from the feed, which leaves from the top .

Does anyone know the procedure for designing such a vacuum distillation column?

Thanks!

Its just another distillation column at a different pressure. Mccabe thiele method should work fine.

The challenge in real H2O2 columns is avoiding decomposition. That can be quite dangerous.
