I would like to get some recommendation for brands of control valve people have seen success with when utilized on inlet two phase or three phase separator liquid dumps.

The current brand we use is the Flowserv Mark 1:

http://www.flowserve...rol-Valve,en_US

The following are normal operating parameter:

Inlet separator pressure :300 psi

Temperature: 60 F

Control valve outlet : 70 psi

Flow Rate: 400 BPD

Valve Size: 2 in

Solids concentration: 100 mg/L (iron sulfide)

Solid average particle size: 100 micron

The problem we are seeing is that the valve has a tendency to leak after 4-5 month in service. Other brands of valves have shown a tendency to get hung up due to solid build up.

What is the cause of leaking? Solids? Oversized valve operating at low % opening? Other? Has there been any inspection conducted and the results published? What is the material used for valve seat and plug? What is exactly damaged and what causes the leaks? What type of flow is handled by this valve?
