Hydrogen can be analyzed by Orsat apparatus using Cupric Oxide sticks. (Cupric oxide powder should not be used as it would lead to choking). Carbon dioxide and Carbon monoxide should be removed prior, to that. Otherwise erroneous results could be obtained.  The temperature of CuO should be kept low (around 100 C). Otherwise hydrocarbons present in the gas (methane) will give carbon dioxide which would lead to errors.

Hydrogen can also be analyzed by Orsat apparatus using palladium asbestos.  (I do not know whether your country will permit using asbestos because it is considered to be carcinogenic).
