Hi All,

In order to simulate a flare net work for a plant (with about total of 50 PSVs and BDVs), which software is recommended to simulate the flare network?

I am wondering what is the difference between flarenet and HYSYS in simulation of a flare network? It is appreciated if you share your experience.

Also I would like to know if there is any other reliable software than Flarenet that is developed for Flare network modeling.

Thanks.

I have very positive experience with using Flaretot software. It combines different features from FlareNET and Flaresim, allowing the user to perform not only the flare network hydraulic calculations but also the related radiation and dispersions studies based on several methods. I haven't used versions of FlareNET beyond Aspen v8.1 but it seems that Flaretot is far more superior and deservedly carries the title of the state-of-the-art software in flare design and evaluation.

There is an option to download fully functional trial version (30-days trial) from the vendor website. Follow the instructions upon downloading and installation, and you will be given the trial license key via email.
