Hi All,

I've been trying for ages to do something which seems quite simple on the surface.

I have a stripchart set up in dynamics which records the surge margin for a centrifugal compressor.  What I want to do is record in a spreadsheet the minimum value of the surge margin as recorded in the simulation run.  I know that I can export the data to excel and do =min(values) but I want to do this directly in HYSYS.

It is a compressor trip run, so the surge margin decreases after the trip before increasing again as the anti-surge valve opens.  What I want HYSYS to do is record the minimum value, i.e. the minimum proximity to surge, without having to export the data to excel and do it manually.  This is to speed up the process of varying the ASV Cv.

I thought that maybe I could write a user variable which records the minimum value of a series of values but am not sure how to do this.

Any help is much appreciated.

James
