Kindly explain the probable reasons of increasing caustic strength in Merox operation for LNG product. one probable reason could be the feed is dry and not saturated with water vapor and take some water from the caustic solution.

Does high caustic concentration has adverse effect on the removal of marcaptane?

Please write what is the caustic strength at various stages, then it could be possible to diagnose the reason. Please include the initial caustic strength also.
