Critical and non-Critical Flow of flow pattern by critical pressure ratio (rc)

x = Cp/Cv

critical pressure ratio (rc) = (2/(x+1))^(x/(x-1))

When rc < (Downstream Pressure/Upstream Pressure), is Non-Critical flow.

When rc >= (Downstream Pressure/Upstream Pressure), is Critical flow.

* My Question is, "Can the flow pattern depend on different calculation for Nozzle and Squared Edge?"

Best Regards and Thanks

PS: I am calculating the ORIFICE SIZING for NOZZLES AND SQUARED-EDGE.
