Hello all seniors,

I am working on TEG regenrator coloumn simulation

Inlet is 50 wt % TEG with water I have to remove water content using reboiler heat but I have to control the maximum temperature up to 170 C but hysys is sugessting more than 400 C how I can mantain that limit ?

thanks in advance

Hi !

I didn't understand the Hysys problem but you can converge the TEG regenerator at atmospheric pressure using reboiler and condenser Temperature :

Reboiler T° : 205°C

condenser T° : 102°C

Actually you can not go above 205°C (400°F) in reboiler because you will have here thermal degradation of TEG .

I find it a bit odd that there is 50% water at the inlet of the regenerator. You should see greater than 90 wt%.
