Hello,

I'm currently in the process of identifying the thickness of insulation for a pipeline. I wanted to know in what circumstances can hi be greater than ho? I've tried to look this up however I can't find anything.

Thank you very much

if you mean the internal and external surface heat transfer coefficients

the value depends from the characteristics of the two fluids (internal / external) and conditions.
