Could you please suggest energy efficient method to separate acetone and water. Utility requirements to achieve 98.75% purity acetone  requires huge capital investments which could potentially kill the project. F eed rates are approximately 25,000 lbs/hr with 10% water at ambient temperature.

 

Please advise.

Distillation is likely to be the best option.

Extractive distillation.  You'll need two columns.  One to break the azeotrope and one to remove the water.
