We are facing the problem of erratic flow surges at CO2 compressor discharge (Urea plant) which leads to compressor tripping (Machine Security). The problem was suspected to be due to "resonance" and accordingly various measures were taken, however problem still exists resulting in frequent downtime. Anybody wants to share his/her experience on this issue?

Is this a new operation? Maybe a bit more information would help.

Thanks Bobby,

No it’s not a new operation. This problem started after 3 years of operation. However, right after commissioning in 2010, machine faced downtime due to electrostatic charge leading to malfunctioning of various probes. Problem was rectified by adding carbon brushes and installing isolator coupling.

Please let me know about additional information.
