Dear All,

 

I have centrifugal compressor for which there is a Hot gas Bypass Valve from discharge to suction of compressor... Also Compressor has surge trip logic which checks if surge condition prevails for continuous 3 secs there.. It it is there, it will trip compressor..

 

Should we also open HGBV in this case.. Generally HGBV is ON/OFF solenoid operated valve by ESD system.

ESD system does not have this surge condition in cause and effect matrix..
