What changes need to be made to a conservation vent when discharge piping is added? Does the set pressure need to change or does a larger vent need to be selected?

For example, if we have a CV set at 10 psig (tank MAWP of 15 psig) which can relieve the required relief rate at 14.99 psig with no discharge piping, what should be changed if discharge piping is required? If piping was added which had a pressure drop of 1 psi, what would the pressure be in the tank?

ryn376,

CV set at 10 psig or 15 psig?

In general, if added piping create a pressure drop of 1 psi, the pressure in the tank would rise 1 psi at relieving conditions...
