HEY

We are considering switch-over to hypochlorite system from chlorine dosing system in cooling towers.

I want to know will it make any effect on WATER CONSUMPTION of cooling tower. I mean any effect on CBD will vary make up water demand.

Regards

ABS

Sodium hypochlorite is prepared by dissolving chlorine in Sodium hydroxide which is alkaline. So if sodium hypochlorite is added to water, the water becomes alkaline. Sodium hydroxide is a solid and when added to water, the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) increases.
