I want to create Waste water in Hysys with density 1180 kg/M3 and Viscosity 2 cP.

Any idea how to do it.

I am not familiar with your simulator (I have Prode Properties)

however in these cases with Prode I simply make a copy of water component in database,

rename it, for example waste water, edit and change properties such as density etc.

and save it,

after that I'll see the new component in the list of  components and can add in a stream,

can't you follow the same procedure with your simulator ?

Hello,

You can have the density of 1200 kg/m³  and viscosity of 2 cP (both @ 20 °C, i suppose)
following these steps:

i. Add water in component list.

ii. Add HypoGroup (from Hypo Manager) rename Hypo Name field as Waste Water and click "Clone Comps...".

iii. Select H2O (DON'T FORGET to uncheck "Replace ALL Instances" box before pressing on "Convert to Hypo(s)" button).

iv. Select the hypo and click "View Hypo", go to "Point" tab and change COSTALD Volume [m3/kgmole] value to 0.03670.

v. Click "Edit Visc Curve" and enter minimum 3 viscosity- T points (Viscosity Coeff A and B will be automatically recalculated).

vi. Go back at the components list and add your hypo component to it.

Now you should have what you wanted. :)
