Hello every1,

I'm doing my internship at an LPG plant. I've been assigned to conduct a research on the optimization of  the fired heaters and am totally new on the topic and don't know from where to start or even the mechanism and the design of these units. Could you please suggest some references for me?

Please help me in that!!

Look at the plant technical manual (design drawings and documents). There must be some information there.

Once you identify the type(s) of fired heaters used in your plant, you can start with online research and also dig into company library. Look for "Industrial and Process Furnaces" by Jenkins and Mullinger, for example.

I hope help you.
