Hi all,

 

Right now, I am trying to simulate a biodiesel process. I treat the vegetable oil as 100% triolein. However, some properties of triolein embedded in HYSYS need to be changed, such as boil temperature, critical conditions, and heat capacity etc.. 

 

I am stuck in the change of heat capacity. I am not sure which parameter is relevant to it. Could you give me some tips?

I try to use a hypothetical components to represent the Triolein. However, I can't find which parameters are relevant the heat capacity.

Have you visited the AspenTech support site? They should have lots of information on biodiesel production. And I am sure they have a module that you can rent.
