I'm designing a 1:1 Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger, but I have a doubt about the temperature correction factor (F), I know that there are grafics for the temperature correction factor of a 1:2, 1:4, 1:6 Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger but,

Is F=1 in a 1 shell pass: 1 tube pass Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger?

Thanks.

Yes the LMTD correction factor is 1.0 for a 1 shell pass, 1 tube pass Shell-and Tube heat exchanger.

The temperature correction factor is to calibrate the true counter-current flow arrangement.
