I will be soon starting an entry level position as a chemical engineer working at a processing site. I am planning on brushing up on some of the calculations I have studied before I start. Would anyone have any recommendations as to which areas would be best?

Thanks.

If you are looking for process plants, its better to start with pumps, pipes & fittings, heat exchanger related topics. These are the general things you will work with often in process plants. In addition, you can see about operating procedures of equipment (ex. how to start centrifugal pump, PD pumps etc).

There are many calculations in our forum to see. Its better to start with fluid mechanics and heat transfer topics.

Wait until you are on the job. Learning at work is part of the job. Your employer knows what you are capable of doing. Find a good mentor.
