I have to calculate the wastage energy of flue gases of oil heater.. exhaust temperature is 300 c, fuel is natural gas and flow rate of fuel is 120 MMBTU/HR , and emission gaseous result is

CO2 8.51%,

O2 5.87%,

CO 120mg/Nm3

NO 130mg/Nm3

NOx 130mg/Nm3

how can I calculate flow rate of flue gases and wasted energy by flue gases.??. PLEASE help me

use your natural gas composition and excess air coefficient for complete combustion calculation to get the flue gas composition first if you do not have, and then run simple heat calculation, Q=M.Cp.DeltaT.

Your CO2 composition seems too low for heaters, so please confirm your unit and numbers.
