I am studying about heat transfer from agitated jacket vessel.

The formula of 1.86* ((Nre * Npr * (De / L)) ^ 0.33 * (u / uw) ' is used to case of 'Annular jacket with spiral baffling'
Where, Nre = Reynolds number
Npr= Prandtl number
De = Equivalent diameter
L = Length of jacket passage
u = Viscosity of jacket fluid
uw = Viscosity of jacket wall

But, I don't know about 'L(Length of jacket passage). What is define of 'Length of jacket passage'
And how do you calculate?
