how to fix the desing pressure of the pipe? Is there any exact formula to calculate the design pressure of the pipes. kindly explain.

Design pressure of pipe is generally taken as centrifugal pump shutoff head or the safety valve set pressure.

Are you asking about selection or calculation of the design pressure/MAWP? If you are interested in calculation, look at the piping code your project adheres to - usually based on ASME B31.3 if process piping is in question.

As zauberberg mentioned you should refer to relevant piping code; for example in ASME B31.3 the design pressure, in brief, is a pressure value which with coincident temperature will lead to highest pipe thickness...

from my experience,

 

generally, process design pressure is maximum possible operating pressure + 1 barg OR maximum possible operating pressure x 110%.
