Hi ,

I am a Process Engineer. Working in Oil and Gas Company.

I would like to know the difference between RO plate thickness and Pipe wall thickness.

Can we use RO plate thickness same as pipe thickness, as a minimum?

Can RO plate thickness smaller than Pipe wall thickness?

Please clarify.

Thanks.

renu,

Two different matters: RO plate thickness will be dictated by maximum deltaP across the plate while pipe wall thickness by maximum internal pressure...

If the pressure differential between upstream RO and downstream RO is identical with that of inside of pipe and outside pipe, your RO thickness and pipe wall thickness may be the same in the case building material of RO and pipe are the same and both RO and pipe are custom manufactured with the same safety factors.
