I wanted to calculate power consumption of agitator having 3 impellers installed on a single shaft and running at same speed. All impellers attached to shaft is identical.

 

On internet I found articles for power consumption calculation for agitator with one impeller only.

 

How to calculate power consumption for agitator having multiple impeller on single shaft.

3 x (power consumption for agitator with one impeller only) is the simple answer, especially if the spacing between impellers is close to the diameter of the impeller blade(s).  There are corrections in the literature for spacing, but those details are usually handled by the agitator fabricator who has much more data than is in the literature.

will above formula will remain same if different type impellers are attached on same shaft and rotating at same speed.

If different type or size impellers on one shaft, then you sum the individual power consumptions of each type.
