Hi all,

I would like to know if anyone has experience regarding wellhead coolers without fan. What are its disadvantages?. I would also like to know if I can  size it on Aspen HTFS or HTRI.

A natural draft cooler needs more heat transfer surface area than a forced draft cooler in the conditions of identical LMTD and identical duty transferred.

Shan,

Thanks for your response. Since at wellhead we do not have provision of electricity nor we will place any GENSET( as it wont be feasible). I am interested in knowing if I can size this cooler in HTFS/HTRI.

You may check with a finned tube cooler manufacturer for the U value of your well fluid.

Fluid conditions vary widely for wellhead fluids. You might get some help if you provide enough information.
