Hi all,

Just a quick question. A few of the PSVs on site have easing gear (pointlessly, but nonetheless they are there). Some of them come locked or taped down.

Some concerns have been raised the valves won't actuate freely while this is the case. I don't think this is the case and would prefer to keep the easing gear locked and taped so that any tampering would be evident.

Am I correct in believing that the easing gear isn't required for the valve to freely actuate?

Cheers guys.

I would ask the manufacturer of the valve. Maybe Art was in the navy and has some experience with the gear.
