Hi ,

 

i want to calculate the liquid density using the following correlation

to get density from this formula i need the A,B,C,D values for amines and other components 

can you please tell me the source ,to get those details.

 

can you please suggest any alternative method to calculate liquid density

Density = mass/volume

Note : Google " Liquid density estimation method " to support your work or try to find technical bulletin of your products through Internet or call vendor of those chemicals .

Use ASTM D 1217 Density of  Liquids by Bingham Pycnometer. You can calculate at three or four temperatures, 10 to15 deg C apart, plot a graph (which should be nearly a straight line) and interpolate or extrapolate as needed within the temperatures at which the material is a liquid. Avoid temperatures near boiling point and freezing point.

By using four densities, as obtained above, you can determine the constants in your equation by elimination

Simulation software (ASPEN, Chemcad) is the quickest way.I think all A to D in the equation for common organic compounds can be found in "Thermophysical Properties of Chemicals and Hydrocarbons".
