Hi I am conducting a case study for a 2-stage compressor train to increase the pressure from atmospheric to around 1200 psia.

Stream 1 (100 KPa, 55 C) goes to a component splitter then to the first stage suction scrubber. From there to the first stage compressor and after-cooler. The same is repeated for the second stage compressor.

The outlet temperature from both after-coolers is set at 25 C.

To summarize,

P-stream 1: 100 KPa

P-stream 6: 8,274 KPa

It is required to change the discharge pressure of the intermediate stream (stream 4) to calculate the minimum total power required. how can I set that in HYSYS and obtain the results using the case study tool?

Attached is a screen shot for the HYSYS model.

Regards,

Sherif

Whatever solution you reach cannot be translated into a compressor design. You need more than 2 stages in your compression train.
