Dear Forum Members,

 

what is the requirement of offspec tank in new projects?

 

For example if we want to develop a off spec tank scope for new MTBE plant with 1000KTA.

 

1. what is the requirement for no of run down tanks?

2. What is the requirement for off spec tank ( volume)?

 

The scope may change from plant to plant and how we operate, but i am looking for general best practices and even for any design standards.

 

i appreciate if some one can give a insight/explanation to start with this activity.

You should discuss this with the process licensor. There is no single answer without much more information.
