Pneumatic pressure testing (After holding time )without reducing pressure to the design pressure Inspection team can continue Inspection for  soap solution examination  .

Sam65 ,

Be extremely cautious with "pneumatic test" it could be very much harmful  and  why don't you perform hydraulic test ?

experience to share : A couple of years ago , the company nearby my factory  performed a pressure test on one HX, the head burst and unfortunately a worker was killed !  lack of control !

If pressure is holding it means there is no leak at test pressure ( may be 1.5 time of design pressure)  And soap leak should be done only on normal operating pressure. Some company are not allowing the pneumatic test above 7 or 8 bar.

Due to compressible nature of a gas, if something fails the amount of energy released / damage in a pneumatic test is much worse than a hydraulic.
