hello

I read in some forums that the best interval or range in which a control valve works with  avoid a rapid erosion and ensur a long duration of work with out problems , is between 25 or 30 % to 75 % of opening

is this right?  and  is there any file talks about that? i need it plz

Yes, that's right.  I wish all my control valves controlled in the 25-75% range!  That is the best interval.  The sweet spot, of course, is 50%!

A lot of times I have found control valves that control in the lower range, say almost closed to 10%.  That is because there seems to be a tendency to be conservative and control valves are over sized.  One should strive to purchase a control valve that has at least one or two sizes of trim bigger and smaller than the selected trim size.  That way you have a chance to dial your control valve into the 25-75% range once you see it perform.
