Dears,

I am a chemical engineer who graduated 18 months ago and I have worked as a process engineer since my graduation. My question is that: are there courses / exams that you suggest for a process engineer who is in his early years of his career like me? I have heard of Aspen courses but I do not know if you will get a certificate by their completion. Also, I heard of FE exam. where can I find good resources for it? I have heard of Olga for multiphase fluid flow analysis. Where to have a training & certificate for it?

Any ideas? more suggestions?

I appreciate your help.

Regards,

You should pursue your interests and don't bother with courses and certificates. The best learning is by doing.

Bobby,

I totally agree with you and this what I believe in. I have met some Americans in my short career and they are very experienced and capable of handling critical design and they don't have that much of trainings and certifications. The problem is that I am from middle east and in here they value those things. So, why don't persue my interest and have those things at the same time (by the way I am very interested in refining and petrochemicals but no much opportunities in here to handle a comprehensive job on that).

Thanks & Regards,
