Hi,

We are in the process of selecting Flare tIp for offshore process platform. Flare Capacity is 550 MMSCFD, with Gas to be flared being Natural Gas with High H2S content (4 Mole%). Vendor has suggested Flare tip MOC as SS310 but I doubt this would suffice considering high heat and Sour Gas. Can someone please throw some light on this topic.

Hi Ghanshyam Gabani

About your question, attached you will find a page of "Flare Gas Systems Pocket Handbook" by K. Banerjee, N. P. Chereminisoff, P. N. Chereminisoff.

Review of that: as recommended MOC Stainless Steel and lined with refractories

I think that will be useful

Good luck

Fausto
