Dear Sir,

I try to find the best practice for breaking material(CS) that connect to flare line(SS).
Flare line is ss304L, temperature may down to -29C but the new line that will connect is CS.
Now i need to know about how much the distance from flare line that safe for breaking class to CS and how to consider that distance is safe.

How come of min. 600 mm from joule thomson cooling point? Do you have some more detail for consider this dimension?

There is no specific practice to apply material breakdown in the line connected to, say, a flare header. Attached is a sample in an executed project in which there has been considered 50 m distance from the connection point of a line (line no. 20002) to flare header (line no. 20001) for breaking material...
