Hi.

I need to predict Reid Vapour Pressures (R.V.P) in blends of crude oil spiked with certain amounts of NGL of known composition (GC). I use  HYSYS v.8.0.

I characterise crude using the pseudo components procedure based on distillation data.

My question is if it is necessary for accurate results to characterise NGL also with the same pseudo components (as I did in crude) instead of using the GC chemical composition. Or it doesn't matter?

Thanks a lot

Nick

You should use components for the lighter fraction to get the best results. Your crude assay should include light components, too. Not pseudo-components.

I was not aware of these papers. It really goes my work further. I really appreciate it!

Thank you.
