Hi,

i want to calculate heat capacity of butanol with
Cp= a*T - b*T^2 + c*T^3+ d*T^4 this formula.

But i cant find a,b,c,d values for butanol (gas phase)

i dont want direct cp values of butanol.i need a,b,c,d values.
cause i use this formula with derive equation between different temperatures.

i need help about this situation.

Oguzcantasdemir,

I found the following expresion in the Property Data Bank of "The Properties of Gases and Liquids", by Reid, Prausnitz and Sherwood (3rd. ed):

Cp = A + BT + CT^2+DT^3

Cp = [cal/g-mol], and T = [K ]

where:

A = 0.780

B = 9.984 x 10^-2

C = -5.354 x 10^-5

D = 1.119 x 10^-8

for n-butanol.

I hope help you.

Napo.

Have a look at this data base .

Good luck
