Question - Why we design fire water system at 9kg/cm2g. Residual pressure at 5.6kg/cm2g and Pressure at remotest distance should be 7.0 kg/cm2g?

Hi ,

You should check your local regulation and contact your fire brigade for more info .

You need to supply sufficient water at the right pressure to operate the equipment ( guns, sprinklers, etc   at any points of your plant .

In my place the pressure in the main is about 12barg

If you are working in a plant , you should consult the insurance company in charge of your facility .

Hope this helps.

Dear Gourav,

It all depends on the local fire fighting regulation.I have seen this all conditions are different in different country and every different project.

I have seen the pressure from 12 to 7 Kg/cm2g.

Regards,

Manoj
