Hi guys ;

When calculating the two phase flow velocity for Mach number calculation; I'm using the total stream flow from hysys and i'm dividing it by the section .

Is this correct for two phase stream velocity or is there any method to calculate and determine the gas velocity for mach number calculation in 2 phase flow stream .

Thx

Mach number is not a value used for two-phase flow. The term critical flow is the proper terminology. You won't find very much information on the subject.

for two phase see the link in your previous thread on the subject,

"http://www.cheresour...rbons-mixture/"

for two phase there are models such as HEM, HNE, NHNE etc.

you may find many threads discussing this topic at cheresources forums,

see for example
