Hi all,

I am currently working on a tender project for an acid gas unit. My team and I have sized the various pieces of process equipment and optimised our designs. Up until now we have been using very crude CAPEX estimations from various sources however we want to firm up our costs. We do not have access to a project manager who would be able to provide this for us. I believe Aspen Capital Cost Estimator V8.6 could be useful, and based on the costs generated they seem reasonable. However my question is whether anybody knows if the costs within the software are periodically updated based on a Nelson-Farrar index or some other index every month? They may even have been last updated during the last software release?

Does anybody know what Aspen do here please?

Thanks for your help.
